Competition Rules

Participation & Eligibility

  • Open to all registered participants of Spark-O-Fest 2.0.
  • Participation can be from individuals or team (maximum of 5 members).
  • A participant can be a part of only ONE Prototype team.
  • Prototype must be original and the Intellectual Property of the team.
  • Projects previously awarded in SPARK-O-FEST contests are not eligible.

Prototype Requirements

The following prototype formats are acceptable:

Functional Physical Model
Working Digital Application
MVP
Hardware / Software Innovation

Working Simulation Models: Working simulation models are allowed.The prototype can be from any domain or profession.

Originality: The prototype must be original and developed by the participants.

Submission Requirements

The abstract and prototype details must be submitted as per the following requirements:

Submission should include- Title of Prototype, Problem Statement, Proposed Solution, Innovation & USP along with Market/Application Scope, budget and Team Details
Submit abstract (250โ€“300 words) .

Abstract Submission Deadline: 1 November 2026 by 1800 hours.

Setup & Prototype Demonstration

Setup Time

Teams must complete their prototype setup 45 minutes before judging.

Prototype Demonstration

Participants will demonstrate their working prototype before the expert jury.

Demonstration Time: 8โ€“10 minutes.

Jury Q&A

The demonstration will be followed by an interactive question and answer session with the jury.

Q&A Time: 5 minutes.

General Conditions

  • Teams must bring their own laptops, tools, adapters, and other necessary materials.
  • A basic display table and power supply will be provided.
  • Participants retain full ownership of their innovation.
  • The organizing committee may use photographs and videos for academic and promotional purposes with due credit.
  • Teams are encouraged to pursue patent protection where applicable.
  • Participants must strictly adhere to ethical standards.
  • Copyright infringement will lead to disqualification.
  • All participants must adhere to safety, disciplinary and ethical norms.
  • The decision of the jury will be final.
  • Prototypes already awarded in previous Sparkofest are not allowed.
